VO PRO PODCAST GUESTS

Thanks so much for sharing your time and expertise. I’m looking forward to chatting. The podcast now runs both audio and video, so please keep this in mind when booking (no phone or in-car interviews, etc).

You will need to download and install Chrome before the interview.

If you’d like to check out the podcast, go to https://vopro.pro/podcast.

I tend to be pretty organic in my interviews. I just want it to be a chat between two friends that someone may eavesdrop on. As such, you don't need to prepare anything.

If there's anything you especially want to talk about, or especially don't want to or can't discuss (e.g. an NDA), let me know at paul@vopro.pro.

We use a platform called Riverside to record podcast interviews. It's very similar to other video meeting software but there are a few things to be aware of, especially if it's new to you:

  • You must be using Google Chrome as your browser for this to work best. If you do not have it, you will need to download and install Chrome before the interview.

  • Once we start recording there will be a bar at the top that says "uploading" with a percentage. Please don't leave the interview until that says "upload complete". This typically happens a minute or two after we stop recording.

  • We will record both video and audio. If you do NOT want the video used in marketing materials, please let me know ahead of time (paul@vopro.pro). Otherwise, we will create short video clips to help promote the episode and you'll receive access to them.

Recording Checklist:

Before we join the interview, here are some tips for a seamless recording experience with Riverside:

Use a computer with a Chrome browser that’s up-to-date.

  • Check your internet stability. Ethernet cable connections are preferred over WiFi.

  • Use an external mic, if possible. Even the mic in your ear/headphones are better than nothing.

  • Use headphones/earphones to prevent echo and increase audio quality.

  • Close all other applications that don’t need to be open during the recording. This prevents CPU overload. Important: Please close all other programs that try to use your mic/camera.
